Dallas
Created by David Jacobs (Original series)
Directed by Michael M. Robin
Executive producer(s)
Cynthia Cidre
-----------------------
The series will not be a remake of the original series of the same name that aired on CBS from 1978 to 1991, but a continuation of that series. It will focus mainly around John Ross Ewing III, the son of J.R. Ewing, and Christopher Ewing, the adopted son of Bobby Ewing. It is in development for TNT, sister company to Warner Bros. Television, which owns the original series since its purchase of
Lorimar (Dallas's original production company) in 1989.
-----------------------
premiere in summer 2012.
---------------------
Plot Summary:: Series revolves around the Ewings, a wealthy Dallas family in the oil and cattle-ranching industries. Most of the focus though will be on John Ross Ewing III, the son of J.R. Ewing and Sue Ellen Ewing; and Christopher Ewing, the adopted son of Bobby Ewing. John Ross has become almost a carbon copy of his father, bent on oil and money and greed, not in that order; and Christopher has become a lot more like Bobby, in that he is more interested in the upkeep of Southfork Ranch, much like him and his late grandmother, Miss Ellie.
Besides, Bobby, Sue Ellen, and J.R.; familiar characters like Lucy Ewing, J.R. and Bobby's niece and Ray Krebbs, J.R. and Bobby's half brother, will also return. New characters include Bobby's new wife, Ann.
